The Boston to Portland Move

Earlier this fall we packed a 20-foot moving truck in Boston and hit the road towards Portland Oregon. By “we”, we mean one of us – Zack. With one of his compadres, he saw the sights, cringed at gas prices, camped the whole way and yes, made it to Portland in one piece. No moving violations to report. Ryan drew the short straw and had the pleasure of keeping clients happy and the workflow moving, plus his long legs would have cramped before getting across New York state. Here are a few photos from the trip.

People Love Paper Fortress

The good folks over at Design Milk did a brief highlight of 10, yes TEN, inspiring business cards. Our branding work for videographer super stud and good pal Stebs was at the top spot. Paper Fortress, the best boutique video outfit in New England, hands down. And what a name.

From Design Milk, that little article found it’s way to Adobe InDesign, where their 200K followers got the chance to see it and leave their two cents. Note: This is the first and the last time we’ll give you a link to Facebook.

Here’s a video that Stebs shot of a second run of cards being printed. Notice the perforated edges.

Big thanks to our pal Mike Dacey at Repeat Press for doing a top notch job with these. Next time you need letterpressing or great advice, hire this man’s hands:

If memory serves correct, these first got printed a couple years back, and we sure are glad they’re still serving a purpose. The trifecta of Hovercraft-Paper Fortress-Repeat Press came together because we were all under the same roof, and starting our businesses without a clue as to what we’d gotten into. Those were some great times. Glad to see everyone growing and making names for themselves. Now lets just hope they’ll make a trip out to Portland for a visit sometime soon.
